VMworld 2012 Europe Partner Day

Second day for me at VMworld Europe and it's partner day. I got up at 7am and I was at the Fira de Barcelona at 8:15. After a one hour walk I finally found some coffee. The only things you can do on a partner day is to do labs (no Fast Pass or Lab Competition this year) or go for a guided tour through Barcelona. Got some conversation with Michael Webster and Mikko Nykyri. Doing 3 Hand on Labs and tried 1 BYOD Lab. After 30mn of trying to get my lab work (BYOD LAB), the proctor seated me to a traditional lab! 😉 For the record…. I didn't break the lab!! Maybe my laptop was the problem.

HOL-INF-01 Essential IT Management with VMware vCenter Protect

This lab was the first lab, I have done at that day and it was very cool. Maybe I will implement this solution in my Test Environment for futher testing.

HOL-INF-03 Automate your vSphere Deployment with Auto Deploy

If you not so familiar with Auto Deploy in vSphere 5.1, than this lab is a create opportunity to you, to get experience with all of the components. Please follow the instructions and don't do this on your own. I have some problems with the New-ESXImageProfile cmdlet, if the ESXi Host Profile Name is the same as the ESXImageProfile Name.

HOL-INF-04 Deliver Optimal Performance with VMware vSphere

This lab was the easiest lab of all that day. If you familiar with the troubleshooting process of CPU, Memory and Storage, this lab will only take 30 minutes.
